The Physics of Sports

Course Description:

Students will study the laws of physics through sports. Students will complete activities centered on topics including, but not limited to, speed, acceleration, Newton’s Laws of Motion, momentum, impulse, and energy. Activities will include the use of data collection, analyzing graphs, mathematical calculations, and experimentation in relation to a variety of sports.

Students will build their knowledge of physics concepts, data analysis, and mathematical problem solving as it relates to sports.
