This course will use art as a lens through which to explore science and vice versa. Students will use scientific processes and topics such as microbiology, soil science, and color theory to create unique works of art. In this hands-on class, students will use various art techniques such as drawing, painting, and biological processes. Students will learn through lectures, group presentations, and hands-on, creative activities. Each student will produce a portfolio of artworks based on their scientific findings.

Goals:
Students will produce a portfolio of artworks based on their research. Each project will have a scientific principle that backs up the artwork produced. Students will be guided through the principle and, using the scientific method, will design an artwork that reinforces their findings.
