Storytelling & Persuading Using Data

June 26 - July 14, 2023 in TBD (The first two weeks of each course take place asynchronously and consist of about 7 hours of work per week. During the third week of each course, students will interact with their instructor and other students via video conferencing meetings, and the course will be about 20 hours of work.)

Course Description:

Discover the power of using data to solve problems, describe research outcomes, and make convincing arguments. Through interactive activities, students will explore different number patterns, data visualization, and problem solving. Students will learn principles of data analysis and presentation (figures and graphs). Students will learn to identify, analyze, use, and interpret data to solve problems and make decisions. This course provides students with an empowering set of tools for understanding data, storytelling, and persuading with data.
