We tend to take the natural environment around us for granted. In this course we will practice nature journaling as a way to become better observers, which in turn will make us stronger scientist. We will also learn about community science applications that will allow us to document and record our observations. Students will primarly use Inaturalist and “ISeeChange” to document their observations. Industry experts will also be invited to talk with students to give them a real life look into the naturalist field of study.
Instructor Adam Hubert believes that allowing students to find beauty and enjoyment in the natural world around them creates a person more willing to help protect the world we have, and is excited to help guide students on this adventure!
