Introduction to Statistics with Python Programming-Online

Program Details:

The first two weeks of each course take place asynchronously and consist of about 7 hours of work per week. During the third week of each course, students will interact with their instructor and other students via video conferencing meetings, and the course will be about 20 hours of work.

The synchronous portion of this course during the third week will be from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm Monday-Friday.

Course Description:

This dynamic three-week course will give students a hands-on introduction to statistics using the powerful programming language Python. Through interactive video lectures, practical coding exercises, and real-world data analysis projects, students will gain a deep understanding of statistical concepts and learn how to apply them using Python programming. By the end of the course, students will be able to use Python to calculate statistics, create graphs, make statistical inferences, and draw meaningful conclusions.

My name is Nadine Jansen and I am looking forward to working with students at NCSSM Summer Accelerator this summer. I am from North Carolina and have lived here for most of my life. I attended college at NC A&T and NC State. I studied both pure and applied mathematics. I have been teaching and tutoring math for over 10 years.
