Chemistry and Drug Discovery

This course is designed to acquaint students with the intricacies of Pharmaceutical Science, focusing on the interplay between Chemistry and Drug Discovery. Beyond traditional classroom learning, it encourages students to apply theoretical knowledge to their daily lives, particularly in understanding medication usage. By exploring the practical implications of pharmaceutical science, students gain valuable insights into the development, design, and application of therapeutic agents. Life always comes full circle and after years of going after my dreams, I have come back to my first passion, education & science. I stated my educational journey but stepped away due to life happening and became a Correctional Officer, which I did enjoy. However, I was not happy. When the pandemic happened in 2020, I thought this was the perfect time to go back to school. So that is exactly what I did. I went to school for Esthetics to specialize in corrective skincare, due to one day wanting to be a dermatologist. I also went back to college and finished my degree at Elizabeth City State University. That lead to my career in education now teaching high school Chemistry and Physics to students enrolled in Aviation Science or Health science. Lastly, I am currently enrolled getting my Masters in Teaching Secondary Science.
