Course Description:

The purpose of this course is to introduce students to polynomial functions, rational functions, and their properties.  The course will combine theory and practical exercises to analyze, graph, and interpret polynomial and rational functions. In addition, students will learn different techniques to solve polynomial and rational equations and inequalities.  This course will provide a detailed overview of both polynomial and rational functions. Through interactive videos, worksheets, and class discussions, students will be able to analyze, graph, and interpret polynomial and rational functions. Students will practice solving polynomial and rational equations and inequalities through worksheets that they will submit.

My name is Nadine Jansen and I am looking forward to working with students at NCSSM Summer Accelerator this summer. I am from North Carolina and have lived here for most of my life. I attended college at NC A&T and NC State. I studied both pure and applied mathematics. I have been teaching and tutoring math for over 10 years.
