We are planning to have at least one team compete in this year's CSAW Competition, which is sponsored by The Polytechnic Institute of NYU. This competition involves problem solving in the arena of computer security and computer forensics. It is a field that offers serious career possibilities.
Dr. Morrison attended this workshop to learn about the tools of the trade.
There is a preliminary competition; if we make the finals, we go to NYU:Poly in Brooklyn, NY 15-17 November 2012. Teams are composed of three people. We can enter more than one.
There is also a possibilty of competing in their capture-the-flag contest as well. Capture-the-flag is a challenging opportunity for Linux nuts.
