Congratulations to the following NCSSM students who were named all-conference in Track & Field for finishing in the top three in their respective events at the Mid-State 1A/2A Conference Championships on April 24: Brittany Eldridge, Brieanna Frye, Leanna Frye, Amy Gilbert, Amber Heckart, Corey McClintock, Ashlee Perkinson, Maddie Roberts, Cameron Cook, Daniel Kimmel, Jordan Knox, Josh Mason, Dorian Perry and Wesley Verne.

2-6-08: WEEKEND SPORTS UPDATE
The NCSSM Men's Swimming 400 Yard Freestyle Relay Team took the state title this past weekend at the 1A/2A State Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday, February 2, 2008. The team consisted of David Westbrook, Mark Harrison, William Seme and Joe Gitt.

Four NCSSM wrestlers received All-Conference Honors in the Mid-State 1A/2A Combined Conference for the 2007-2008 wrestling season. The honored wrestlers were Sean Crisco (130 lbs -- All-Conference), Marcus Perry (215 lbs -- All-Conference), Chuck Jones (275 lbs -- All-Conference) and Jordan Pearson (125 lbs -- Honorable Mention).

Amber Heckart and Maddie Roberts qualified to compete in the high jump at the NCHSAA 1A/2A/3A Indoor Track & Field Championship at UNC this Saturday, February 9, 2008, by clearing a height of 5'0" and 4'10" respectively. This is NCSSM's inaugural season of indoor track & field.

11-19-07: The NCSSM Men's Soccer Team defeated East Montgomery High School in the NCHSAA 1A State Championship Game on Friday, Nov. 16, by a score of 1-0. Read about their victory...

11-5-07: WEEKEND SPORTS UPDATE
The NCSSM Women's Tennis Team won the NCHSAA 1A State Championship in Burlington on Saturday, Nov. 3, by defeating Bishop McGuiness 5-4.

At the NCHSAA 1A State Championship Meet on Saturday, Nov. 3, the NCSSM Men's Cross Country Team finished in 3rd place with 102 pts. In addition, NCSSM seniors Daniel Kimmel and Cameron Cook placed in 1st and 2nd place, respectively, with Paul Hammer finishing 38th, Jordan Knox finishing 45th and Cole Caplan finishing in 56th place. The NCSSM Women's Cross Country Team finished in 10th place with a score of 249 pts. Leading the NCSSM Women's team were junior Abby Frye in 36th place and senior Natalia Chodeleski in 45th place.
