Agency Mission Statement:
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. It does this through services that are consistent with its congressional charter and the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Cross Movement.
Agency Goals and Programs:
WCARC aims to to prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. They offer Disaster Services, Services to Armed Forces, Health and Safety Services, and Blood Services to people for aid.
Agency Impact:
WCARC has assisted the community by responding to 121 single family disasters impacting 398 citizens, sending 230 emergency communications on behalf of the Armed Forces, collecting 11,810 pints of blood with the potential of saving 35,430 lives, and by certifying 7,192 citizens in CPR and First Aid over the years.
