WFUBMC aims to provide the highest quality, specialized healthcare services in a manner that represents value to those we service. Programs offered are BestHealth, other educational programs, volunteer programs, ECMO program, seminars, screenings, cooking classes, Heart Transplant Program, Women’s Heart Health Program, and much more.

Agency Impact on Community:

WFUBMC has provided an opportunity for many teens wishing to volunteer in the summer. They contribute uniquely to the health of Forsyth County residents and wider Piedmont triad community. The research and education mission of the hospital significantly impacts the community profoundly.

Volunteer Duties:

  • Transporting patients to and from the cancer center
  • Playing with and visiting patients of Brenner Children’s Hospital
  • Pricing, stocking, and waiting on customers in the gift shop
  • Assisting staff
  • Observing in the operating room
  • Delivering flowers and mail to patients
  • Observing treatment in physical therapy areas
