Mission Statement:

To encourage students of all cultural backgrounds to explore career options in the field of biotechnology.

Agency’s Goals and Programs:

Triad BioSummer aims to provide a free camp that allows students to explore different careers in biotechnology and perform related experiments for students who might not be able to otherwise explore this field.

Agency Impact on Community:

Triad BioSummer has opened the door for underprivileged students to enable them to explore biotechnology and possible career opportunities for free for years. Annually, 25 high school students and 20 middle school students are given this opportunity.

Volunteer Duties:

• Assisting with all aspects of the camp
• Helping with lab set-ups
• Helping students with learning the material
• Assisting the directors during field trips
• Running errands for the directors
• Assisting students with their final projects
