“The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.”

Agency’s Goals and Programs offered to Clients/People Served

The Red Cross helps victims of disasters, providing food and shelter and helping to rebuild their lives. It collects blood for necessary medical transfusions and platelets for cancer patients. It assists those serving in the US Military through communication, counseling, and financial aid. It also offers health and safety training to the public and strives.

Agency’s Impact on the Community

It has offered advice/given classes in relevant matters pertaining to health and safety, responded to emergency situations to save lives, assisted those in need to improve quality of life, and has collected blood to help patients in hospitals.
