Mission Statement:

We do things not because of a sense of obligation, but because we find in them joy and meaning and fellowship. Our participation in these activities is an important part of living our faith and growing in our relationship to God.

Agency’s Goals and Programs:

St. Luke’s is involved in many different local groups that support the people of Durham and, more generally, of NC. St. Luke’s supports and participates with Meals on Wheels, English Speakers of Other Languages Ministry, Durham Interfaith Hospitality Network, Urban Ministries of Durham, Habitat for Humanity, and other organizations in the Durham area. St. Luke’s goal is to serve others either directly or by supporting groups in a monetary fashion to better live our faith.

Agency Impact on Community:

St. Luke’s has provided shelter, food, comfort, and support to those in the community who have needed these for years.

Volunteer Duties:

• Collecting school supplies
• Preparing for mission trip to Belize
• Tutoring
• Implementing physical education programs at a school in Belize
• Establishing connections with a Belizian Episcopal youth group
