Mission Statement:

To produce competent elementary students who can succeed throughout their education and beyond, who believe in themselves and are eager learners in a diverse society. We will do this by providing a stimulating, comprehensive, well-rounded curriculum in a safe, caring environment presented by a highly qualified staff committed to excellence.

Agency’s Goals and Programs:

The school’s overall goal is to provide comprehensive education to students K-5 in the Spring Creek Community. The particular program this summer is designed to provide remediation and continuity to at-risk students in all grade levels. Over 200 students have been chosen to receive supplemental educational services in core subjects. Small classes with a 10 to 1 student to teacher ratio will help provide individual instruction to meet the students’ individual needs.

Agency Impact on Community:

The school has had a tremendous impact on the southeastern community of Wayne County for over 20 years. The school has consistently produced students who have excelled in their ensuing education.

Volunteer Duties:

• Assisting teachers working with individual students in reading and math
• Leading small groups in reading and math activities
• Supervising students during free play and/or lunch
