Agency’s Mission Statement

It is the mission and purpose of Onslow County Health Department to provide comprehensive public health services that protect, promote, and preserve the health of our citizens. Public health is unique in its emphasis on prevention and its regard for the community as the “patient.”

Agency’s Goals and Programs Offered to Clients/People Served

Programs offered include breastfeeding counseling and classes, diabetes care, family planning, HIV/AIDs, lead poisoning, parenting, prenatal care, and STD prevention.

Impact the Agency Has Made on the Community

It provides the citizens of Onslow County access to medical and nutritional care they may not otherwise be able to afford.

• Filing, shredding and making charts
