Agency Goals and Programs:

Oak Island Parks and Recreation aims to provide health and wellness services to people of all ages in Oak Island. They provide daily activities at their recreation center and organize events such as fishing tournaments and turtle watching for the entire community.

Agency Impact:

Oak Island Parks and Recreation has made parks and beach access for everyone who visits the community available. They also provide programs and events at the Recreation Center and elsewhere on the island.

Volunteer Duties:

• Volunteering at the Oak Island Open Pier Fishing Tournament
• Working during special events such as “Beach Day”
• Aiding the Teen Center and other departments as needed
