Agency’s Goals and Programs:

The library aims to contribute to personal enrichment, to preserve the historical record of lower Cape Fear, to provide exposure to a diversity of culture, and to enhance individual and collective growth.

Agency Impact on Community:

The library system has a collection of nearly 340,000 items, and the reference staff answers more than 289,000 questions a year. The library services have a lengthy history in Wilmington beginning in 1735.
