To inspire appreciation and conservation of North Carolina’s aquatic environments.

Agency’s Goals and Programs:

The aquarium aims to keep the visitor experience paramount, to have an ongoing commitment to expanding and enhancing facilities, and to have an ongoing commitment to extraordinary customer service. School programs, summer programs, and daily programs are offered to allow citizens to explore, experience, and learn about marine and aquatic life.

Agency Impact on Community:

The aquarium has educated the public about NC aquatic life and habitats, has promoted and encouraged the conservation of NC aquatic life and habitats, has provided an educational and entertaining venue for visitors to the Crystal Coast, and has done much more for years.

Volunteer Duties:

• Interpreting exhibits for citizens
• Assisting in the classroom
• Assisting with horticulture (if needed)
• Face painting
• Helping with crowd control
• Assisting with the operation of Family Night
