Agency’s Goals and Programs:

The aquarium offers special activities; summer camps to provide fun and safe learning opportunities with knowledgeable and competent leadership; scout programs where Girl and Boy Scouts can earn merit badges; and extended outreach programs.

Agency Impact on Community:

The aquarium changes the public’s views on creatures and habitats, allows people to have the opportunity to have hands-on experiences, gives people knowledge in areas they may be interested in, and provides internships for students.

Volunteer Duties:

• Interpreting exhibits
• Facilitating classroom crafts
• Providing tours for larger groups in education
• Educating people of current features in the touch tank
• Explaining the background on sea turtles
• Educating people about the new albino alligator exhibit
