Agency’s Mission Statement

The Natural Science Center is committed to excellence in science education by providing the community with a dynamic, experiential and family-focues attraction designed to inspire scientific curiosity and encourage personal discovery about life and the natural world.

Agency’s Goals and Programs Offered to Clients/People Served

The Natural Science Center offers an interactive, learning museum for young children. The main focus of the museum is science, but there are many different exhibits. They have a zoological park and a theater that plays educational 3-D movies. They have summer day camps for preschoolers to seventh graders. During the school year, they encourage field trips to the museum.

Impact the Agency Has Made on the Community

The Natural Science Center encourages learning and exposes kids to science. The center also gives kids a hands-on learning experience during summer camps. Though aimed towards kids, the museum benefits people of all ages in the community.

Duties You Will Perform as a Volunteer

• Assist teachers in summer camps
• Helping children (i.e. crafts, reading books, etc.)
