• To provide local students with the opportunity to attend a strings clinic, featuring special conductors/guests.
• To provide local students with the opportunity to learn more about their stringed instruments (includes playing in an orchestra, sectionals, and quartets)

Agency’s Impact on the Community

Strings students from across the Triangle area attend Lamar for either one or two weeks at the start of summer. They learn techniques and information taught by both local strings teachers and guest instructors. For many young children, this will be their first exposure to an orchestra setting. Overall, Lamar Stringfield String Camp provides an excellent environment for string students of all levels to improve and meet other students enthusiastic about playing their stringed instrument.
