Mission Statement:
To offer a choice of satisfying work experiences for adults with varying disabilities while allowing those same adults the self-esteem of earning wages for their work.
Agency’s Goals and Programs:
Life Experiences operates five small businesses (Life Experiences Bakery, Janitorial/Delivery, Laundry Department, Sub-contracting, and Vending) which offer employment to adults with developmental disablities while providing valuable services and products to the community.
Agency Impact on Community:
The Laundry Department washes and dries towels, wash cloths, bibs, and other items used in daycares and health/recreation facilities at SAS institute and Prestonwood Country Club. The Bakery prepares food for special events and restaurants that include CharGrill and Danny’s Barbecue.
Volunteer Duties:
- Assisting Laundry Department with washing, drying, and folding various items
- Assisting in other departments as needed
