Agency’s Goals and Programs Offered to Clients/People Served

Habitat for Humanity offers a “construction experience” where volunteers can help to build houses. Other tasks include selecting families who need houses, working with affiliate committees, organizing fundraising events, arranging for meals at the work site, or volunteering at the Restore.

Impact the Agency Has Made on the Community

Habitat for Humanity has helped people to work in partnership as a community to help build homes for people in need. By selling donated construction and home related items at a reduced price, Habitat for Humanity has helped increase the number of homes build for low-income families, prevented usable items from being put in landfills, and provided quality building materials to the public.

Duties You Will Perform as a Volutneer

• Help sort donations
• Answer phone calls
• Work with the database
• Look at the conditions of donations
• Bring in donations, clean them up, put them where they belong and put the price on them
