Mission Statement:

To develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God’s love and can live and grow into all that God intends.

Agency’s Goals and Programs:

Habitat for Humanity aims to build simple, decent, affordable houses with those who lack adequate shelter. Habitat also strives to make home-ownership possible in partnership with people who care. They do not discriminate potential owners by race, religion, etc.

Agency Impact on Community:

Habitat has built over 300,000 houses in 90 countries since its founding. Durham’s Habitat is currently building a green community at Hope Crossing, which houses families with inadequate accommodations.

Volunteer Duties:

• Painting and possibly building at house sites
• Assisting in the Restore as it moves to a different location
• Helping run the Bull Ride
