Agency’s Mission Statement

The Forsyth County Library is dedicated to providing free and equal access to expertly chosen resources and reliable information, and to fostering lifelong learning and the joys of reading. Our services are driven by community needs and are provided in a welcoming, responsive, and professional manner.

Agency’s Goals and Programs offered to Clients/People Served

The agency’s goals are to provide free and equal access to resources and information to those who need it, and to foster lifelong learning along with reading. The people being served are allowed to check out books, CDs, DVDs, cassettes, and so on. Also, ebooks are available through the Forsyth County Library website. On top of that, for those who need a computer to use, they are allowed to use the ones available at the library, free of charge.

Agency’s Impact on the Community

The library has impacted the lives of many, especially those who are less fortunate than others. It provides entertainment for those who don’t have the money to buy such things. Also, it provides services such as help with homework, help with job searches, information, etc.

Volunteer Duties

  • Help with programs and displays
  • Sort books
  • Shelve returned books
  • Assist with central library in reorganizing the fiction section.
