Agency’s Mission Statement

We will help Limited English Proficient students to improve their English skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. We will offer these services so the student can fully participate and contribute to the regular classroom and total school program. In addition, we want to prepare students to feel comfortable socially within school and our culture at large.

Agency’s Goals and Programs Offered to Clients/People Served

The agency’s goal is to enable LEP students to become competent in speaking, reading, writing and comprehending the English language. The agency provides the instuctional support needed for LEP students to master the English language and to participate effectively in the general education program as quickly as possible.

Impact the Agency Has Made on the Community

The ESL Program has helped students become proficient in the English Language. They are the child’s advocate in school and in the community.

• File documents
• Read with the students
• Teacher’s assistant
• Supervise students
• Help students with writing skills and using the computer
