Agency’s Mission Statement

The agency is a non-discrimatory, equal opportunity agency, partially supported by the Family Violence Prevention & Services Act, the North Carolina Council for Women, and the Governor’s Crime Commission. Governing documents, policies, and statements are available for public review upon request. The agency works towards empowering the increasing number of victims and their families to break the cycle of domestic violence.

Agency’s Goals and Programs Offered to Clients/People Served

The agency receives and is dependent upon the support of local sources: civic groups, religious groups, business private citizens and governments. Income is generated by the local agency’s operation of the vintage values resale shops.

Impact the Agency Has Made on the Community

The agency provides shelter and direct services for victims and their children in New Hanover Coutny, as well as other areas. The agency recognizes the impact of domestic violence and works to increase community awareness and understanding of the problem.

  • Clean store
  • Throw out trash
  • Sort clothing
  • Hang up clothing and put on racks
  • Organize book room
  • Shelving
