Mission Statement:

To stimulate the public’s interest in and understanding of science, mathematics, and technology by providing quality educational facilities, activities, and exhibits.

Agency’s Goals and Programs:

Discovery Place aims to fulfill its mission statement. Discovery Place offers a year-round Science Museum that hosts exhibits across a wide range of historical, artistic, and scientific subjects. Summer camps for children and a nature museum are also offered.

Agency Impact on Community:

Since 1981, Discovery Place has interested children in the sciences and has helped to drive statewide interest with some prominent exhibits.

Volunteer Duties:

• Assisting children in activities
• Setting up during the summer camp
• Providing supplies for the summer camp
