Mission Statement:
To assist people in crisis to meet essential life needs & to become self-sufficient.
Agency’s Goals and Programs:
Crisis offers help with utility and housing bills. Residents of Forsyth County who cannot afford medication may be able to receive their prescriptions from Crisis through a licensed, free pharmacy. Crisis also offers a ‘Breaking the Cycle Program’ for residents who repeatedly find themselves in crisis.
Agency Impact on Community:
Crisis Control has assisted 250 supporting congregations and has answered thousands of requests for assistance, from those in chronic poverty to the working poor.
Volunteer Duties:
- Working in the food pantry helping approved clients choose food and other products which they qualify for
- Transporting goods to client vehicles
- Collecting donations for food pantry
- Restocking and organizing shelves of the pantry
- Sorting through expired medication in the pharmacy
