Mission Statement:

To stimulate children’s imagination, curiosity, and love of learning.

Agency’s Goals and Programs:

The museum’s goal is for visitors to learn about themselves and the world in which they live through informal, hands-on experiences regarding arts, sciences, and cultures. Programs include Summer Family Nights, summer camps, and other various yearly and holiday-related events designed to encourage a love of learning.

Agency Impact on Community:

Since its opening in 1997, the Children’s Museum has helped more than 100,000 children and other guests to learn about the world around them and encouraged a love of learning in Wilmington’s youth.

Volunteer Duties:

• Performing administrative duties
• Record-keeping
• Interpreting exhibits for guests
