Agency’s Mission Statement

Charlotte Chinese Academy is a non-profit organization registered with the State of North Carolina. The school teaches simplified Chinese and Pinyin by using standard overseas Chinese textbooks. Its goal is to teach, exchange, and expand the Asian culture.

Agency’s Goals and Programs offered to Clients/People Served

The agency, one of the largest Sunday schools in Charlotte, offers Mandarin Chinese classes to children. Its goal is to teach, exchange, and expand the Asian culture.

Agency’s Impact on the Community

By teaching Chinese to America’s children, this agency ensures the United State’s future competitiveness in an ever-changing, international world. The Chinese classes educate children by teaching them a second language. Many studies have shown that speaking two or more languages increases the mental capacity of young children. By sharing the Asian culture, this agency helps to expand worldviews and increase appreciation for globalization and foreign cultures. This agency helps the people in the community by making it possible for them to conduct business in China, where there are many emerging markets. Knowing Chinese can open many doors of opportunity in life, so this agency tries to expand children’s horizons be teaching them this language. Currently, the academy teaches more than 150 students of all ages.
