Agency Mission Statement:

To prepare the labor force of Washington County and Northeastern NC for the technology related entrepreneurial and employment opportunities of the 21st century.

Agency Goals and Programs:

The goal of Windows on the World is to become a regional IT resource and technical support for small towns, low resource farmers, counties, and economic development organizations. Programs that are offered by this agency are Adult Digital Literacy, Digital Library, and Distance Learning Support our Students After School Program.

Agency Impact:

Windows on the World has provided the community with free high-speed internet and courses.

Volunteer Duties:

  • Answering phone calls
  • Clearing spam and other unnecessary information from computers in the Digital Library
  • Packing up equipment
  • Cleaning out offices
  • Helping people with using the Digital Library
