To support spay/neuter of domestic pets; to educate the public about animal welfare and all levels of cruelty; and to work in alliance with local animal shelters, rescue groups, and the Humane Society organizations to ensure these forgotten animals are taken care of. Whenever possible, they will also assist with cats or other animals on a case by case basis. Agency’s Goals and Programs offered to Clients/People Served This agency teaches the importance of heartworm prevention and spay/neuter. The agency also aims to rescue and re-home adoptable dogs. Agency’s Impact on the Community Besides teaching lessons, they have given piece of mind to people who love their animals but can no longer keep them. They also wish to engage students, teachers, and parents by incorporating state-of-the-art technologies. They provide a challenging curriculum that meets national math, science and technology standards and encompasses all five of the NASA enterprises. Agency’s Impact on the Community This is the first SEMAA in a rural location. Their agency has greatly improved the quality of education in the community.
