Agency’s Goals and Programs: Turning Point seeks to provide shelter to abused women and their children, to provide counseling and case management that leads abused victims to self-sufficiency, to raise community awareness about the problems of domestic abuse, and to work with other agencies in the area to develop a response team. Agency Impact on Community: Turning Point has served our community as a victims-advocate service, oftentimes being a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. In 2007-2008, the agency responded to 264 crisis calls, provided 914 hours of counseling, and served 986 clients.
