Agency’s mission statement:

Kicking 4 Hunger is dedicated to bringing the community together for a unified effort to feed the hungry through the game of soccer.

Agency goals and programs:

This organization provides soccer camps to children ages 5-12 completely free of charge. The camps do ask that campers donate non-perishable canned goods, but this request is completely optional. The agency aims to provide a quality, fun, free soccer camp to local youth while simultaneously raising food to feed the hungry in the community.

Impact Agency Has Made:

Kicking 4 Hunger has promoted the game of soccer and living a healthy lifestyle through its camps. Through the can donations, K4H has raised thousands of cans of food in its 5 years. Last summer alone, K4H raised 2,727 cans in 6 days worth of camp.

Volunteer Duties:

• Directing the camps this year by contacting people about field reservations, equipment, t-shirts, newspaper advertisements, etc.
• During the actual camp, coaches will arrive around 7-8am for a 9am start on camp. Camp lasts for three hours, until 12 noon.
• Clean up, load cans, and prepare the facilities for any other events going on that day for at least an hour or so.
• Help count the cans at the end of the week
• Deliver donated cans to the local food bank, the Cooperative Christian Ministries of Concord.

Agency’s goals and programs offered to clients/people served:

The agency hopes to inspire young children to play soccer as well as help feed those in need. This agency offers free candy and lessons to kids to raise food for the less fortunate.

With a staff of volunteers dedicated to the cause, K4H will accomplish three main goals:

• to assist local families by providing a soccer camp that is free to any who choose to attend
• to get kids active and on their feet by playing the game of soccer
• to feed the hungry in our area

Agency’s Impact on the community:

Over the years, the agency has raised hundreds of pounds of food for the hungry. K4H is a charity based soccer camp, a soccer camp where a canned good donation is all that is necessary for admission instead of charging a monetary fee like many other summer camps. By offering this camp, K4H is able to promote charity and giving in the community while simultaneously promoting the game of soccer. Kicking 4 Hunger is in its fourth year of donating cans to the hungry. Last year, we donated +2500 cans to feeding the hungry. All proceeds benefit the Cooperative Christian Ministries in Concord.
