Agency’s Goals and Programs:

Camp Monroe aims to provide children with fun while learning about God. The camp offers overnight camps for ages 8-17, day camps, horseback riding, canoeing, Bible study and worship service, and various other activities.

Agency Impact on Community:

Camp Monroe works with another organization called Operation Fun. This partnership allows kids from the inner city to come and enjoy camp for one week out of the summer.

Volunteer Duties:

• Delivering water to stations
• Preparing food
• Leading worship
• Setting up and breaking down tents for camp-out
• Performing manual labor for site manager
• Cleaning kitchen
• Distributing snacks

The program offers students a valuable introduction to the hospital and medical fields. Through volunteering, they are certain that students will find challenging, enjoyable activities that will be satisfying while performing valuable services for others.

Impact agency has made on the community:

It has provided students an enriching experience in a healthcare setting, and volunteers are encourages to make a 3 week commitment of one half day per week. They are encouraged to work 50 hours during the program. Two summers ago there was a food drive started. Approximately 600 food goods were collected for the needy.

Volunteer Duties:

• Become comfortable in a healthcare setting
• Organize another food drive for junior volunteer
• Complete scrapbook for the volunteer department summer activities
• Work in labor and delivery department
• Help patients
• Do assignment given on orientation day
