Agency’s Goals and Programs:

The Food Bank’s goals are to provide food and help people in need. They do this by following services: Food Pantry Program, Food Bank, After School Feeding, Rural Delivery Program, Advocacy and Public Education, etc.

Agency Impact on Community:

The Food Bank of the Albermarle has provided over 4,080,200 pounds of food for the community. The food they provide for families in need help them get by. The Food Bank ships food across NC to provide food to other counties as well.

Volunteer Duties:

• Bagging food for clients
• Handing out food to clients
• Filing items for administrators
• Bringing food to cars for clients

Agency’s Mission Statement:

New Community Church exists to love God, love people, and turn the world upside down. We accomplish this by fully engaging in what God is doing in through New Community and inviting everyone we know to do the same.

Agency’s goals and programs offered to clients/people served:

Our goals are to help others learn to love God, love other people, and make a difference in our community and throughout the world. They offer educational experiences for children and adults to learn about and worship God. They also partner with others in our community (Food Bank Crisis, Pregnancy Center, Social Services) to impact the lives of those in need.

Impact agency has made on the community:

With over 650  people who call New Community their home church, we impact each of those lives and the people connected to them by teaching them about Christ and how to live by his example. We have provided meals for the homeless, Christmas presents for families in need, fun events for the community and a safe place where people can learn and grow and be encouraged.

Volunteer Duties:

• Work with children’s ministries
• Help with vacation Bible school as group leader
• Perform a Bible skit
• Help the music and worship teams with weekly equipment setup.
• Help with other administrative tasks
• Any other task supervisor gives

Agency Mission Statement:

To provide the adults and children of four counties with information in a variety of formats; to support students in educational programs; and to assist in finding and using information, materials, and programs for personal growth.

Agency Goals and Programs:

The library offers courier services, computer access, printer services, children programs, and library materials including books, film, and audio-cassettes.

Agency Impact:

The library has provided reading programs and access to books, film, computers, etc. to the community since its founding.
