The institute offers rehabilitative and medical services for injured, orphaned, and sick wildlife native to Western North Carolina. They train Lees-McRae Biology students in wildlife rehabilitation and education. There are programs offered in the areas of ecology/conservation, handicraft, outdoor skills, caps, sports, shooting sports, and water sports.
