The institute offers rehabilitative and medical services for injured, orphaned, and sick wildlife native to Western North Carolina. They train Lees-McRae Biology students in wildlife rehabilitation and education. There are programs offered in the areas of ecology/conservation, handicraft, outdoor skills, caps, sports, shooting sports, and water sports. Agency’s Impact on the Community The camp has helped many scouts mature because parents are not with the scouts for one week. The scouts are more knowledgeable about a few specific scout skills.
