Agency Goals and Programs:

Mountin’ Hopes serves individuals with physical, neurological, and cognitive differences. Classes are for children and adults, and are held on a 45 acre horse farm in Mars Hill, NC.

Agency Impact:

Mountin’ Hopes works with area therapists, physicians, special education teachers, and parents who refer students to the center. The community funds 70% of operating costs through donations, events, and grants.

Volunteer Duties:

• Assisting riders to groom and tack horses
• Checking horses for injury
• Leading horse during lessons
• Implementing feeding schedule for horses
• Monitoring grain and food supply
