Agency’s Mission Statement

In order to achieve its vision, the Harnett County Library System provides its users with the means to meet their recreational reading interests; to continue to learn throughout their lives; to find, evaluate, and use information in a variety of formats; to get answers to their questions; and to enhance their formal education from preschool through high school.

Agency’s Goals and Programs offered to Clients/People Served

The main goals of the library are as follows:

• Provide the resources and environment for adults to continue to learn and engage in intellectual pursuits
• Provide materials to aid general education from preschool to high school
• Help answer questions any member any member of the community may have

Agency’s Impact on the Community

The library meets its goals and provides an educational and intellectual center for the Harnett County that otherwise would not exist. It provides programs for the children of the community to promote learning and thought.

Volunteer Duties

• Shelve books
• Help with computer set-up
• Assist community member with using the library
• Help with children’s activities

Learning to love as Jesus loves and openly sharing peace, joy, love, and faith in Jesus Christ in order to be his cornerstone in our community.

Agency’s Goals and Programs offered to Clients/People Served

The agency’s goal is to help people know Jesus Christ personally and to live their daily lives in light of their relationship with God. The agency offers various worship services and several outreach programs, Sunday School classes, Men’s Meeting, Women’s Meeting, Youth Meeting, Senior Citizens Meeting, and Children’s Program.

Agency’s Impact on the Community

The agency provides:

• Worship and Educational services
• Mission and outreach services
• After-school care services
• Senior citizen fellowship and activities
• Youth club meeting facilities

Volunteer Duties

• Piano playing during choir practice and Sunday worship service
• Decorate the Sanctuary, hallways, and classrooms for Vacation Bible School
• Teach during Vacation Bible School
• Work at the After-School Summer Care Summer Enrichment Program
