Some of the agency’s goals, elaborating upon the mission statement, include to be a help to the city and community in any way that is needed and to provide a safe place in the community for help and fellowship. The variety of programs offered include:

CARE ministry for miscellaneous needs in the church, as well as shut-ins and the sick

Servant Corps do mainly building repair and upgrades for needy families/organizations

Inner city ministry provides assistance and activities for those disadvantaged in the city

There are many more programs offered for the congregation and surrounding community

Agency’s Impact on the Community

This agency has cleaned up and improved the city and community. It has also assisted those in need, including the homeless and stranded, which has led to a better standard of living for those people. They have lent a hand in school projects and schools’ needs, which has helped decrease the strain on the education system and budget. They have also held safe and family oriented events in the community which promote family bonding and love.

Mission Statement:

To provide a high quality education for all children. To instill in every child a growing desire to learn by giving him or her self-confidence in developing communication skills, thinking and problem solving, team work, technology, and citizenship.

Agency’s Goals and Programs:

Midway Elementary provides educational opportunities for the surrounding communtiy by giving young children the knowledge needed to further their education. During the summer, Midway Elementary also offers an online remedial program for struggling students to help them get back on track.

Agency Impact on Community:

Midway Elementary prepares students for higher education and provides basic morals for the children to live by. Midway Elementary also includes the community by allowing parents and family members the opportunity to be involved in their children’s education.

Volunteer Duties:

• Assisting with online remedial program
• Assisting custodians with manual labor such as moving and distributing books
• Administrative jobs such as answering the phone, making copies, sorting mail, etc.
