Agency Mission Statement:

To preserve the history of Edenton, NC and to promote visitation.

Agency Goals and Programs:

HESHS strives to get people to visit Edenton and to learn about the history of the town. Trolley tours, walking tours, and talks are some of the programs offered here.

Agency Impact:

HESHS has provided tours and programs for elementary students, allowing them to learn about Edenton. The Harriet Jacobs Tour is offered to give information about past slave life in Edenton.

Volunteer Duties:

  • Identifying and inventorying colonial artifacts for the James Iredell House
