Agency’s Mission Statement

Mt. Pleasant UMC seeks to know, love, and serve God by proclaiming the word of God, teaching and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ, administering the sacrament, worshiping the body of Christ, and serving the needs of all people through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Agency’s Goals and Programs offered to Clients/People Served

Mt. Pleasant UMC offers a variety of programs for people of all ages, including, but not limited to, worship services, Sunday School, youth groups, Bible studies, preschool, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, family nights, Vacation Bible School, Breakfast with Santa, Trick or Trunk, Easter Egg hunt, hand bells, children’s choir, adult choir, wind chimes, Methodist Men, Methodist Women, brass ensemble, the community youth center, and various mission trips.

Agency’s Impact on the Community

All of the programs offered aim to provide a grater sense of togetherness and support in our community. The community youth center gives teens in the community a safe place to ‘hang out’ on Friday nights. Our preschool, Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts programs are meant to teach children various life skills and prepare them as future leaders in our community.
