Volunteer Duties: Duties in Patient Access Department: Greet everyone Put out fires Check excessive wait times General converstaion with patients Give directions, escort and take patients to day surgery. Duties for Patient Floors: Visit with patients Answer call box Run errands and transport discharged patients Carry food trays Restock storage closets Take mail to mailroom

School programs, summer programs, and daily programs are offered to allow citizens to explore, experience, and learn about marine and aquatic life. Agency Impact on Community: The aquarium has educated the public about NC aquatic life and habitats, has promoted and encouraged the conservation of NC aquatic life and habitats, has provided an educational and entertaining venue for visitors to the Crystal Coast, and has done much more for years. Outer Banks Wildlife Shelter

Agency’s Goals and Programs: The shelter offers a free service providing wildlife education on a daily basis assisting the public in all aspects of wildlife topics. Agency Impact on Community: OBWS is the only full service wildlife rescue, rehab center, and clinic in Carteret County for native birds, mammals, and reptiles. Volunteer Duties: Preparing food for and feeding various avian species Assisting staff with various animal husbanding duties Assisting with habitat set-ups Cleaning animal cages
