Agency’s Goals and Programs: CCC aims to bring youth and adults together to form a Christian community for the purpose of serving God and better knowing our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. CCC also strives to spread the love of Christ in the larger community through service to people in need and to provide opportunities for youth to practice leadership skills, witness their faith, and grow in spiritual maturity. Agency Impact on Community: In 1988, CCC’s first year, 93 campers attended one of two offered weeks. Twenty years later, CCC took 1,268 campers over four weeks and served 725 families in the western counties of NC. To date, 19,248 youth and adults have attended CCC and 11,396 projects for the needy have been completed. Community Free Clinic

Agency’s Goals and Programs: The goals of the clinic are to serve and help people who cannot afford health care in a way that parallels traditional health care services. This is done by offering notoriously traditional doctors to patients. The clinic is truly a widespread collaborative effort to ensure everyone who needs health care can obtain it. Agency Impact on Community: The Community Free Clinic has helped Cabarrus County residents obtain healthcare who otherwise would not be able to afford it. This includes doctor visits as well as medications. The pharmacy located in the clinic has truly helped patients stay healthy. The clinic has also kept patients out of the emergency room and has given them access to continued care and access to specialists who agree to see them when referred from the free clinic. Agency Goals and Programs: The library has provided free book check-out, free internet, children’s story time, Children’s Summer Reading Program, and coupon savers. Agency Impact: The public library has made an incredible impact on the community by allowing people to access the internet for free on equipped computers. The library has also started a Coupons Savers Program that provides clipped coupons to the general public and allows them to save money. Agency’s Goals and Programs: Kitty City aims to provide a safe environment for stray or abandoned animals and to educate pet owners on proper care for pets. There are various summer day camps offered for children and special times for seniors to spend time with the rescued animals. Agency Impact on Community: Kitty City rescues stray or abandoned animals and trains them to prepare the pets for adoption. They also educate the public on animal care. Agency’s goals and programs offered to clients/people served: The agency allows people to come in and interact with the cats before adopting. It also has several cats in foster care. Supplies needed to care for a cat are avaibale at the facility. Impact agency has mad on the community: A cage-free facility allows the cats to become better adapted to living in homes. Also, being able to interact with the cats in a more home-like setting allows for a better fit in homes, reducing the risk of abandonment.
