Agency’s Goals and Programs: The Association provides an organized soccer league to all of its players and participants. ABYSA offers soccer for children as young as 5 all the way through the high school level. They also provide valuable exercise and a physical outlet in a safe environment. Participants can compete at the recreational level, challenge level, or state-wide classic level. Summer camps are also available to participants. Agency Impact on Community: Currently, over 4,000 kids are enrolled in ABYSA. The program teaches children about sportsmanship, teamwork, and the importance of exercise in a safe environment. ABYSA also offers programs to help underprivileged children in the community. Agency’s Goals and Programs Offered to Clients/People Served The agency’s goal is to build technical outdoor skills, inspire personal growth, develop leadership/teamwork, and build a diverse and supportive community. There are individual hiking courses and group courses for schools and families. Schools can come back as interns the next year after completeing an applciation. Impact the Agency Has Made on the Community Outward Bound has a program called the Unity Project where campers use their wilderness experience as the catalyst for building unity within the school community. They recognize racism, inequality, and injustice with a sense of courage and understanding in order to promote diversity and support within the community.
