Agency’s Goals and Programs: The goals of Anson County Schools are to offer courses that meet individual student needs so that they will graduate from high school competent in 21st century skills. They want students to acquire a responsible adult skill set but to also possess the background needed to have a successful experience after high school. Programs specifically offered at the high school include one-to-one laptop initiatives, online courses, honors, AP, and standard classes, and those required by the disability act. Agency Impact on Community: Anson County Schools are the center of the community. The school system is responsible for the teaching and education of all students, the center for the arts, the gymnasiums for any county athletic activities, and the auditorium for various other programs.
