Mission Statement:

To serve others by helping to instill values in young people to make ethical decisions over their lifetime. The Scout Oath and Law are the foundation.

Agency’s Goals and Programs:

Scouting helps to develop good habits and attitudes, and is concerned with personal growth and national pride. It encourages personal achievement and community service. It gives opportunities to learn and practice leadership skills. Character development, citizenship training, mental and physical fitness to our youth are the ultimate goals. The Boy Scouts offer these programs: Cub Scouts (boys ages 7-10), Boy Scouts (boys ages 11-18), and Exploring/Venturing (co-ed ages 14-21).

Agency Impact on Community:

The Scouting Program helps instill morals and values in youth. Its programs provide positive alternatives with which society can combat drugs, poverty, and bad environments. It teaches the importance of being a person of character. These positive influences have a major impact on young people for the rest of their lives. The Scouting Program encourages young people to grow up to be good husbands/wives, fathers/mothers, and community volunteers.
