Agency’s Mission Statement

From the beginning, character development has been the foremost objective of Camp Sea Gull and Camp Seafarer. Both camps foster growth in self-confidence and independence, consideration of others, heightened respect for a fragile environment and a spirit of cooperation.

Agency’s Goals and Programs offered to Clients/People Served

Unique programs in seamanship, progressive development of skills, and daily choices combined with positive role models in a nurturing cabin environment provide campers with opportunities to learn, grow, and challenge themselves while in a protected environment.

Agency’s Impact on the Community

This past year, over 380 children who otherwise could not afford the camp experience received direct financial assistance to attend Sea Gull through the Camp Annual Fund. This fund in particular subsidizes our Pamlico County Outreach Programs and enhances overall programs and facilities.
